Riley Magras is a Melbourne- based artist who paints life as something beautiful and optimistic, highlighting nature through her love of biology, symbology and symbiotic relationships.​

Riley has always wanted to be close to the earth and these interconnected systems of life, using it as something to hold close as humans feel increasingly disconnected from what is most natural.

Her paintings feature bright skies and the natural world taking the centre stage to contrast the human-centricity of daily life.

Riley works primarily in textural acrylic paint and oil pastel embellishments to create a rich aliveness that we only see in our world when we open our eyes to it.​

Her paintings capture moments when we choose to see the beauty in something that may first feel alien but is closer to us than the places and pastimes we see as normal existence.
